Newborns may be ringed as early as a few days.
The high elasticity allows the ring to fit (to a limited extent) to the lug. This greatly reduces (but cannot be excluded) the need for several rings and thus better controls the inlay.
The ring is narrow, this allows you to combine several colors on the same placket and thus you have more marking possibilities.
