Below, I'll explain why I added certain ingredients to my egg mash. and above all, the importance of fiber!
I developed this blend to create a well-balanced egg pot made with many different ingredients. It is also important that the protein value does not become too high.

There are many factors that influence the reproductive period and egg production. So we feed our birds a soft food with the necessary ingredients during the breeding season.
Below, I'll explain why I added certain ingredients to my egg mash. and above all, the importance of fiber!
I developed this blend to create a well-balanced egg pot made with many different ingredients. It is also important that the protein value does not become too high. People often add extra peas and animal protein, e.g. little fingers, to egg food. This is of course fine, as long as you halve the amount of egg food. A protein value between 14 and 27% is suitable.
Calcium carbonate: it is necessary for the shell of eggs.
Vitamin D: This vitamin is necessary for calcium absorption, birds that don't stay outside need this extra vitamin because birds indoors can't use this vitamin themselves.
Vitamin A: improves embryo survival.
Vitamin E: Improves fertility.
Selenium: to prevent egg-laying problems.
Cellulose: stimulates intestinal development.
Inulin: Made from chicory root, is a soluble dietary fiber that supports healthy digestion. This fiber has a pleasant, sweet taste, which makes it good to eat.
Bee pollen: superfood for birds. contains vitamins -ABCDEK. Pollen pollen is rich in minerals: calcium, potassium, sulphur, silica, zinc, magnesium, iron, copper, iodine. It increases vitality, promotes fertility, strengthens the immune system, promotes digestion, and gives more energy to birds.
Prebiotics: are soluble dietary fibers of plant origin. (inulin, beta-glucans, fructo-oligosaccharides, pectin) It is a food source for good bacteria in the intestines, but fiber also absorbs moisture from the intestines and thus prevents diarrhea. This is therefore very important, especially in young birds, to avoid nest mortality. This prevents wet nests.
Intestinal disorders are the main cause of nest mortality!! 50% of this is made up of infections, but the remaining 50% is due to lack of dietary fiber!!
Probiotics: live microorganisms that support the health of birds. It inhibits unwanted bacteria such as E.coli, prevents diarrhea caused by rotaviruses and salmonella, promotes the immune system, and reduces the effects of fungi.
Amino acids: These different nutrients are the building blocks of protein formation. The body cannot produce some of these amino acids on its own, which we call these essential amino acids, lysine and methionine in particular are essential. Methionine deficiency causes small litters, lysine deficiency causes stunted growth in young and poor resistance.
Extra protein: Protein is necessary for building the body. Chicken egg protein contains all the essential amino acids in sufficient amounts. Why add extra protein?
The high percentage of fat in chicken eggs increases the risk of intestinal upset, the extra protein I added is low in fat and therefore easy to digest. They also provide the full amino acid profile for perfect young growth.
Added proteins of plant and animal origin:
Rice powder: 80% protein and easy to digest.
Hemp powder: 50% protein, defatted and contains all essential amino acids. Hemp is incredibly nutritious.
Pumpkin seed powder: defatted powder composed of 65% protein. Rich in fiber, vitamins and trace elements such as selenium.
Sunflower seed powder: defatted powder with 46% protein. is rich in methionine, which is the most important amino acid for egg production.
Spelt flour: contains 15% protein, contains more fiber, and is more nutrient-dense than regular wheat.
Corn flour: contains 9% protein, gives the boy a boost of energy.
Buckwheat flour: contains 13% protein, made up of various amino acids. It also contains vitamin B and various minerals.
Pea powder: 50% protein, super healthy protein for birds!!
Chickpeas: contain a lot of protein (21%), fiber and minerals. Thanks to the fibres, they stimulate the digestion of young birds. also contains vitamin E.
Yellow flax protein powder: composed of 33% protein, source of omega 3, contains various B vitamins, and very rich in easily digestible minerals and dietary fiber.
Milk thistle seed powder: thistle seeds, goldfinch food for example. Contains silymarin which neutralizes toxins. In addition, it has a positive effect on the liver and digestion. especially in the case of fatty liver disease, which often occurs during and after the breeding season due to a diet containing too much egg food. (That's why I always recommend 1 part egg food and 3 parts !! germination seeds).
Silkworms: Silkworm dried pupae meal is a high-quality, natural food source that is rich in high-quality protein (51%). and contains little fat. also contains good calcium values.
Ant eggs: contain a high proportion of animal protein.
Chicken egg: protein value of 13%, contains all essential amino acids.
Brewer's yeast: food source for good bacteria (probiotics). Contains many B vitamins and minerals. Selenium promotes fertility. The group of B vitamins improves the survival rate of embryos. Helps female dogs digest young birds. Promotes the growth of young birds. And promotes the moulting period.
Quinoa flour: Rich in amino acids, proteins (14%) and vitamins.
Almonds: rich in fibre, protein (21%), vitamins and minerals.
Lupine flour: Lupine flour has a protein content of at least 43% and contains plenty of easily digestible fiber.
Sorghum flour: Sorghum flour is not only high in protein (9%), but it also contains many vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
