Oropharma Mite-Killer is an effective and environmentally friendly product to fight moths and fleas. This product is used to control poultry dermanysses (= red mites), fleas and lice in pigeons, birds and poultry (e.g. aviary birds and hens). Mite-Killer physically fights against poultry dermanysses, does not contain chemical insecticides and does not pose a danger of resistance development. Dermanysses or red mites are a real nightmare for you and your birds. During the day, they hide in joints and gaps and come out at night to feed on your birds' blood. Eventually, we see signs of weakening in adult birds, which are reflected in a ball position and less activity. When lice appear in the nests, the young are harassed from birth and can even die after 4 to 6 days. Due to their very short reproductive cycle, a population of dermanysses can double every 6 days. Even in the absence of birds, a dermanysse can survive for 8 to 9 months! It is for this reason that it is essential to fight effectively against these pests and to treat your cages and aviaries preventively. Mite-Killer is based on silicates with a strong absorbency of oils and greases. When the mite crawls on these small particles, they slip between the joints and cause a decrease in its mobility. These particles attack the protective wax layer, which leads to drying out and then death.

HOW TO USE

Clean the cage, loft or chicken coop before treatment. Spray on perches, nesting boxes, the underside of trays, ... as well as in all the corners, cracks and gaps where pests can hide. Carefully cover all food and beverage trays during application. Preventive and curative action. Visible action in one day. Dose: Spray until a thin white layer is visible. For best results, spray 2 thin coats in succession. Repeat the treatment if a new invasion is visible or when the thin layer of white powder is covered with dust. Treats 4 to 8 m². Shake well before use.
