Calcium D3 contains a highly absorbable source of calcium with the vitamin D3 needed to ensure absorption.

Calcium does not only play a role in bone development and eggshell formation. It also performs an important function in the conduction of nerve impulses and in blood clotting.

Calcium deficiency is common in birds because seeds and grains are very low in this mineral. Young birds then develop growth abnormalities and possibly bone deformities.

In adult birds, deficiency is manifested rather by laying difficulties, eggshell abnormalities and brittle bones.

Remarks: 

This complementary food should not exceed 0.2% of pure food per day due to the higher levels of vitamin D3 and trace elements in this product. Store in a cool, dry place at about 20°C.
