A hypoallergenic dog food contains only one type of protein. For example, this food contains only salmon as animal protein. Precisely because there are very few known allergies to salmon. The most common food allergies are to proteins in beef, chicken, eggs, and corn. This hypoallergenic dog food contains no beef protein, chicken, eggs, or corn. Beef tallow contains no protein. This makes beef tallow a safe ingredient, even for dogs with beef allergies.
Allergic reactions are actually inflammatory reactions. Functional fibers such as those in oatmeal, combined with probiotics, coconut oil, omega 3 and turmeric, provide a soothing effect.
