This mix is specially formulated to perfectly colour the plumage of goldfinches as well as other birds. The yellow remains yellow and the red is truly bright red. This mix is the most complete natural mix on the market. It contains absolutely no canthaxanthin or other chemical dyes which are harmful to the liver of our birds.
The carotenoid gives birds their colour. We can divide them into 3 categories.

The carotenoid gives birds their colour. We can divide them into three categories.
Astaxanthin: is the most powerful carotenoid. It comes from special algae that, for example, the flamingo and Antarctic krill eat, as well as salmon, crab, and shrimp.
Lutein and zeaxanthin: can be found in marigold, tagetes species, and kale.
Lycopene: carotenoids that, for example, colour the tomato and watermelon. It is also found in rosehip.
This colour mix contains natural carotenoids from various types of algae such as spirulina, chlorella, Icelandic algae, and Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae. (Astaxanthin in its pure form).
It also contains: carrot, beetroot, pepper, kale, knotweed, yellow goosefoot flower, yellow morning star, red clover, redshank, field thistle, bald knight, sea thistle, knapweed, thistle, marigold, tagetes erecta, dandelion, rosehip, aronia berries, dragon's blood resin, hibiscus flowers, purple corn, Antarctic krill, annatto seeds, echinacea, turmeric, safflower flower.
Usage: give 5 grams per day per 1 kilogram of egg food until after the moulting period. (For best results, give from the birth of the young until after moulting).
